Privacy Policy
1. Data controller
The person responsible for processing personal data in connection with GehaltTax and this website is Jörn Wellniak, Entenbachstraße 40, 81541 München, Germany. Contact: gehalttax@wellniak.com.
2. GehaltTax app
GehaltTax needs no user account or internet connection for calculations. Salary, tax, and insurance information entered into the app, as well as saved calculations, are processed on the device and stored in local app storage. The provider does not receive this information. The app has no advertising, tracking, usage analytics, or external crash reporting.
iCloud synchronization is not currently part of the app. If you share a PDF report through the iOS share sheet, you choose the receiving app or service. Its own privacy terms apply to that processing. You can remove local app data from the device by deleting the app; device backups follow your Apple account settings.
3. Website and server logs
This website uses no cookies, analytics, tracking, advertising, externally loaded fonts, or contact forms. All files needed to display it are loaded from the provider's server.
When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection data may be processed in server logs, including IP address, date and time, requested address, HTTP status, referrer, and browser identifier. This supports delivery, troubleshooting, and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation). Logs are not combined into user profiles and are kept only for as long as required for operation, security, or legal obligations.
4. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your sender address, message, and technical message data to answer your request (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; legitimate interest in communicating with you). The information is deleted once the request has been handled, unless a retention obligation applies. Email providers involved in sending the message may process communication data.
5. Your rights and complaints
Subject to the GDPR, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Contact gehalttax@wellniak.com. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. For private providers in Bavaria, the competent authority is generally the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.
6. Changes
This policy will be updated if features or data-processing practices change.
